Our society doesn't work as we think it is, or we were taught about it. If you want to do something meaningful in your life, then you need to know some bitter truth about how the society, we live in, functions. It's not about judging society, neither about doing activism in society nor about doing politician. Usually, people don’t mean what they say to comfort other people. For instance, looks don’t matter, achievement doesn’t matter, Kind heart matters…
These are the things people speak and share on social media. It's ok if your looks are not great, it's ok if you achieved nothing in life, blah, blah, blah… The only thing that matters is a kind soul and heart.
Well, it's a beautiful line. If I ever thought of writing a poem or story, I may use such points. My hero in the story has a lovely heart, every person praises him, it's wonderful to live with such a character, he can spend his entire life with his clean heart, blah, blah, blah… and Blah…
But the world doesn’t work that way. Let me tell you something harsh about society; that doesn't speak out loud. But that's where the power lies to live a happy life. That is the “subtitle of this blog”.
What happens when a young man vs a young woman uses Instagram? Lots of people want to talk to the young woman, date her, DM her, like her pictures, and some even give a marriage proposal just because she is young.
Is it true or not?
I didn't make this rule. Society has made this. Just a young pretty girl comes in, she becomes the point of attention. She has value, just for being who she is. On the other hand, if the man is young and good-looking, he may get few likes or few girls are into him. But society will not give him value or regard just for being who he is. Until he achieves something. It's true, I didn’t make the rule. A man really needs something besides just being a man, college degree, income, job, recognition… you need such external validation. Man’s value is completely earned. They don’t get a default value for being who he is. No one will Respect you or even not treat you as civil.
You may not like this, but this is how society operates “If you want to be respected, you have to achieve something”. That's why success and achievements are the pillars of a happy life for a man. If you are a man, you have to earn a place in this world. Else, no one will give a F@#$. If you exist or not.
If you want respect, you have to earn it. If you need attention, you have to earn it. This will only happen if you achieve something. Women also achieve value after achievement, but they are considered valuable for being who they are. This isn’t an argument, but we should be enough to be who we are. We don’t have to prove by any sort of external achievement for who we are. This may lie in the ideal world, but we are not living in the ideal world. Either we get sad about this or understand how this works and figure out a way to live a happy life.
It's really important for young guys to focus on life because you have to earn your entire life. Your base case is ZERO.
